In case anyone sees this auction, I emailed the seller and he said they were retail packs:

if someone was to win tihs auction, they'd be getting 23 packs, so if a box originally had 24 packs, then where'se the last one??? Huh, these cards must've come from someone who originally wanted something like a costume or autograph card, then they "sorted" the packs, but never noticed that they didn't have the Hobby logo on them,

That's what I wondered, so I asked him whether it stated on the wrappers that they could contain costumes, props and autos.  He replied, "It doesn't say any of that, so I assume they are retail packs."  That's enough to keep me away from the auction.

I'm from the US, but my ID is Mum as in Mother.  A few years ago, I signed up for a forum for mothers of twins and wanted to be kbmom, but it was taken.  I tried kbmum and it took, so I've used that ever since.  K and B are the first initials of my kids' names. Smiley

I try to be careful with auctions because I narrowly avoided a problem with a seller who listed hobby packs that were in fact retail.  Fortunately, we discovered the problem before she shipped, but she continued to use a picture of a hobby pack in her auctions even though she buried the word "retail" in her description.   Now I study the picture, carefully read the description, and ask questions before bidding.
