Hey!
Am I too old (23) to be mad enough to take up inline skating?
If I fall over am I likely to be picked up by a sympathetic 7 year old who will reassure me (very genuinely) that he fell over lots when he was learning too?
Am I kidding myself??
Mind you it is SOOOO much fun, and hey.. apart from walking 3 miles a day it's just about the only exercise I'll get so why not???

Certainly not. You're only as old as you feel inside and I'm sure that you'll be skating well into your 60s if it's something you really enjoy!

;DOf course not imo 23 is still a very young age also if you would feel uncomfortable falling over in front of ppl then go to some were like an empty parking lot and pratice thats what my dad done when i first wanted to learn to skate.

Good one moley (nice to see you here, thanks for joining!). Yep the best place to practise is a parking lot, preferably one with not too many potholes in

Well, Mak and I went on a VEEEERY long sk8 on Tuesday, and on Thursday I went and did a lot of work at a saltmarsh, so every muscle in my legs ache. I can barely do anything! Plus I got my legs burned in the sun too!
Anyways the point is we are definitely going to learn to sk8 (thanks for the support folks) and I will post some amusing photos of us as we sk8, whether we look cool or just fell over, it's a good laugh!

Hey Pumpkin Ed
Nope, I dont hate you at all, I havent come across this inline sk8er vs sk8er thing, at the moment it's all sk8ers v the rest of the world!
Do you use sk8ing as a way to get around or to do tricks?

you know, it is never too late to learn something new, and when you start learning something you never did before the best way to learn is from your mistakes, so no matter how long it takes you to learn, the only thing you know is that you are gonna perfect that sooner or later. ps: also, never give up
